When I coach a teenager, we look at what is happening for them in their lives and together we try to identify some improvements. Then, in partnership, we determine how we can get there. The improvement could be achieving something, or the improvement could be feeling better. Maybe it’s about communicating with their parents or perhaps the teenager wants to increase their confidence and self-esteem.
Whether it’s friendships or academics, by having someone to talk to who isn’t a friend or loved one, teenagers are able to see things and themselves with new eyes. This perspective often serves as a motivation for positive change. These sessions are tailored, structured, supportive, and confidential. Parental consent required, if under 18.
